英语对话入住酒店之预订错误
下面两段对话,一段是定错了房间类型,一段是没有预订成功。
A Check-In Problem
Theresa and Don are at the front desk of the Old Town Hotel.
T for Theresa; C for Clerk; D for Don
T: Are you sure? I swear I booked a double room.
C: Our booking system has you in a single room. Is it possible you selected "single room" when booking?
T: I mean, it’s possible. But I remember checking the booking information several times.
D: Is there anything you can do? We don’t mind paying extra to upgrade to a double room.
C: ( Types on the keyboard ) It looks like someone just canceled their reservation for a double room. Let me put in your info and . . . all set!
D: Thank you so much! How much is it?
C: I’m happy to say that there’s no extra charge. I’ll be right back with your room keys.
Losing a Reservation
Patrick arrives at the Ladybug Hotel.
C for Clerk; P for Patrick
C: Hello, sir. Are you checking in?
P: Yes. ( Shows the clerk his cell phone screen ) Here’s my reservation.
C: ( Takes it and types on the keyboard ) I’m sorry. We don’t seem to have a record of this reservation.
P: What do you mean?
C: It’s not showing up in our records. And I’m afraid we’re fully booked for tonight.
P: You mean I don’t have a place to stay tonight?
C: I can refer you to a comparable hotel . You won’t be charged for your stay there, and we’ll also pay for your transport expenses. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
