　　Theimmigration officers at the border may refuse to issue you atemporary entry permit in any of the following circumstances:

　　Youare required to abide by all Chinese laws and regulations during yourstay, and you cannot leave the permitted scope of travel or exceedthe permitted duration of the transit.

　　Ifyou stay in a hotel during your visit, the hotel will register yourstay with the local police station using your passport or anotherinternational travel document (you will not be required to go to thepolice station in person, the hotel will only require to take a copyof your passport when you check in). Note that due to thisrequirement, not all hotels are able to host foreign guests. It istherefore best to check with the hotel in advance to ensure that theycan accept foreign guests.
