Fillup（ThirdDayinEngland）

　　A Scary Thing	
　　Another day had begun. Soon, the sky had lighted and we ran happily to breakfast.	
　　 For breakfast, there’s bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes with pepper on them, potato pies, mushrooms. There’s bread and jam as well. You can also have some cereal. I had a cup of milked tea with sugar. Breakfast was delicious.	
　　 We had classes in the morning about English people’s life. There’s something about the stereotypes that were about them. The teacher let us watch a video about English stereotypes. One stereotype is that they have horrible food. The girl in the video she said she was shocked when she see it. Yes, they do have a lot of terrible food. There’s something that is made from mashed goat’s heart and lungs with onions and cooked inside a goat’s stomach. But there are some good foods as well.	
　　 Another stereotype is that they say the British like to drink alcohol a lot. The girl said she doesn’t think it’s true while she is holding a cup of wine in her hand and was about to drink it herself.	
　　 The last stereotype that I remember is that they say sorry a lot. Our teacher Alex told us that this one is true. Maybe it isn’t them who always need to say sorry, but it does avoid a lot of trouble.	
　　 We went punting by ourselves in the afternoon while others went shopping instead. We went to the wharf near The River Cam. The water was calm. I can touch the water, there’s nothing like being on peaceful water.	
　　 The boat went into the middle of the river where there are lots of other boats as well. Soon, we are returning back to the wharf, and I wanted to punt myself. I stood at the end of the boat holding the long pole, I pushed it hard into the mud and pushed it backwards and the boat slowly moved on. After a few pushes, suddenly, I lost my balance and fell into the water.	
　　 The water was not too deep, and I floated. I heard my cousin laughing on the boat. The teacher used the pole to pull me up and I got onto the boat, but I was all wet. When the boat got to shore, I went to the girl’s toilet to blow dry my clothes on the blower.	
　　 Finally, a bit of my clothes are perfectly dried and I’m feeling warm at last, but most of them are only half dried, so I put them in front of the dormitory window.	
　　 The sun is in the west sky again, and my stomach is growling from hunger.	
　　 Supper was a delightful one. I had fish and chips and a creamed cake that was sweet but not that sweet. And I had some milk tea instead of cold juice. But at supper time, the teachers told me that they say if you fell in the river, you’ll get an A grade at the test. That’s why before tests there are loads of students going over the Bridge of Signs and dodging under the hole and jumping into the river for a light swim and back on the shore to prepare for their tests.
