　　Conservation of natural resources	
　　	
　　According to the introduction of the astronauts, when they were roaming in space, the first thing that leapt to their eyes was a glittering globe that mixed with blue and white flecks. Earth, the mother of mankind and the cradle of life, is beautiful and spectacular. 	
　　 But when earth compares to the boundless universe, it is extremely tiny. It is only a planet with a radius of 6,300 kilometers. It is only that big, and it will never grow.	
　　 The natural resources on earth are limited. For instance, mineral resources are not formed by themselves. They are formed by geological changes hundreds or millions of years ago. Earth is unselfish. It provides natural resources for humanity and all kinds of living things. There are many natural resources a human will need in order to stay alive on earth such as water, plant, biological, and air resources. These natural resources can continuously regenerate and make great contributions for humans. But there are still many people who randomly destroy them, disregarding the consequences of using chemicals, which causes a series of disasters, and bringing serious intimidation to the survival of humans. One way we can save earth is by conserving natural resources. As researcher Malik Pieris always said, ＂The earth is getting weaker and weaker every second but not all of us are doing our parts to save it.＂ Everybody should be involved in this situation right now by limiting the natural resources we are consuming each day. Recently, we’re perting 40 percent of all junk we use to throw away, saving valuable landfill space and conserving natural resources.	
　　One reason for this is natural resources are essential to human survival. Many natural resources cannot be manufactured therefore we must learn how to use them in the most efficient manner possible. In order for us to make wise decisions about natural resources, it is helpful to understand how science can be used to interpret and improve our environment. 	
　　Another reason for conserving natural resources is that it will be used wider in the future. One scientist Suzuki David said, ＂The sources of resources are being used in small ways today but show promise of having much wider uses in the future.＂ So we might need resources such as oil and petrol for many purposes and instead of using fossil fuels for producing energy and polluting environment. Some green approaches for producing electricity such as solar power, wind power, and recycling waste help preserve natural resources and our environment. 	
　　On the other hand, there are still many people who have opposition with conserving natural resources. Many say, ＂Natural resources are for people to use. Nobody would care about what is going to happen in the future, we just going to care about how we’re living right now.＂ But the truth is that natural resources are limited, if you over-consume them too much, they will have no more. Will our lives be better if we face a true planetary emergency? 	
　　 There is only one earth, if it is being destroyed, we have nowhere to go. If all the natural resources on earth are depleted, it will be very difficult for us to supplement from other places. In this case, there are many simple ways we can do to remain the health of earth. For example, recycling stuff that can be reused, walk and bike rather than driving cars if possible, and turning off lights when we aren’t using them. The astronauts also made an exclamation about earth when they were in space, ＂Our planet earth is too lovely, while it is too easy to be destroyed.＂
